This Sony surround receiver contains an FM/AM tuner and five audio-video inputs, and works with the following components: VCR, camcorder, video games, TV, satellite tuner, DVD or LD player, tape deck, minidisc player, DAT deck, CD player, or turntable. Digital cinema sound, which incorporates Dolby Digital, Pro Logic Surround, and the DTS digital surround system, is also available. The LCD infrared remote control includes two-way communication, programmable memory, sleep function, muting, direct/auto preset, display window, standby, the ability to control all linked components, sound field control (including customization), and an SUB button that displays lists of operations which do not have corresponding buttons on the remote. The remote fits in your hand, weighs 4.5 ounces, measures 5 by 1.75 by 2 inches, and comes equipped with three LR6 batteries. The thorough operating manual includes pictures, helpful tips, definitions, and troubleshooting.
